Big Sapling Publishing began as a seed of connection between a father and his son.
Justin first imagined the story of Howard the Owl for his son Xavier while his wife was pregnant, telling it to him through her belly and later watching Xavier's eyes light up with wonder. That heartfelt connection inspired our first book, Whooo Whooo Whoooo's There?, and founded the imprint.
